James you will need a credit card from a vfieerid address. So you will be buying from Amazon or some other well know respectable online seller I take it? If so more than likely the item will be shipped LBC, FedEx or UPS at the USA side, but could be switched to LBC or inside the RP, and thats OK they are respected safe shippers. The seller will provide a tracking number you can use online to track the progress of your box.The box should be delivered to your door. You may have to sign for it or have someone there that can do so at the time of delivery. They may phone you to pick it up if as you say your home is way out in Province. Or they may phone you to set up a time of day to deliver, in order to get a signature. You will be using a credit card for the item if it were to somehow go missing you could cancel the payment with cause. You would have the tracking data to back up the fact you never got the item. Now if the item is shipped USPS to the Philippine mail service I am sorry to say the chances are it could go missing and you would lose your item and money. If you have any family members in USA they could buy for you and ship via balikbayan box that maybe cheaper but would take six weeks.I should add this… When you do the “check out” they will prompt you what kind of shipping. There you should look for signature verification and insurance. The extra cost for that is modest and worthwhile.Mike
